Nasa’s augmented reality app launched for Iphones, iPad

Are you curious regarding what’s going in space? NASA launched an animated app for ios that brings robotic spacecraft to life. This app is updated overtime that act as “Robotic Eyes” on earth. This Space craft 3D app using the AR (Augmented Reality) allows you to know “How a space craft move” or “Manipulate its parts”. Regarding this app NASA explains more of the amazing spacecraft that act as our robotic eyes on the earth, the solar system and beyond!”

Using animation Space craft 3 D you can put high definition, three dimensional models in kids’ hands of all ages.  This app interacts with various space craft that explore solar system, study earth and observe universe. You can learn about various engineering facts regarding understanding of space.

This app features 2 missions i.e Curiosity Rover that reach surface of Mars and 2 grail space craft called Ebb and Flow that orbit around earth.

“Like Hollywood directors sizing up their next shot, you move your camera-equipped iPad or iPhone in and out, up and down, and the spacecraft perspective moves with you. It is a great way to study the 3-D nature of NASA spacecraft.”

 What can you do with this app?

  • Design self Potrait with space craft putting you and your friends in picture.
  • Print target on paper screen. 

“In the near future, we will incorporate the Cassini spacecraft, which is orbiting Saturn, the Dawn spacecraft, which is deep in the heart of the asteroid belt, and the Voyagers, which are right now at the very edge of our solar system,” said Hussey. “Looking down the road, we’ve got a veritable solar system full of spacecraft to work with.”

Presently this app is available for Apple but it will soon come on other devices, NASA revealed. Download app here..
