iPhone 5: What we didn’t get!

It was 12 September 2012 where Apple introduced its much awaited iPhone 5 and there were many things users were presented with but there were few things which we were expecting from the release of this Smartphone. I was definitely one of the Apple lover who was reading about all the rumors which could possibly be included in iPhone5 and many of them included but not all of them. So I’m going to list down few things which we didn’t get in iPhone5.

Click Here to read about all the features and specifications of iPhone 5.

To 10 things which we didn’t get in iPhone5

  1. Entirely new design: As per the rumors and leaks from various website that were claiming a totally new design but most of us didn’t want to think that way — or rather wanted to consider rather something different, but it is for certain now – no New Design atleast Not this year.
  2. Colors: iPod touch are now available in variable colors now and So is the case with Nokia Lumia 920 but why not Apple iPhone 5 though? Moreover this time iPhone 5 is only available in 2 colors Black & Silver. Most of you must be thinking why not in White color (In the iPhone 4S there was also white color) is there any special motive behind this step?
  3. PureView-rank camera: Nokia may have move up the bar of Camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) although the camera in iPhone 5 is enhanced and certainly better than before, but it could have been much better and we users were also thinking about the 12 MP camera instead of same old 8 MP but atleast for some time iPhone users have to wait.
  4. Wireless charging : This wireless charging feature is there in Palm Pre & Samsung Galaxy S3 & Nokia Lumia 920 has it and expectations of iPhone 5 having it too was too high as it had to compete with many such big names with innovative technology but don’t know why Apple was not interested in this feature?
  5. NFC : The iPhone 5 should had Near-Field Communications hardware but to my utter shock NFC feature were not present in iPhone5, but for rising competition from BlackBerry, Samsung, Nokia and HTC, everyone is looking forward to make some mobile payments, check ins, or even classic NFC features effortlessly but apple users have to wait for a while.
  6. No Wi-Fi direct: There is no feature of AirPlay to Apple TV, no data transmission to devices and most importantly there is no iPod nano watch this time.
  7. No Amazing Super Sensitive touch: A statement of Nokia pinched me when they said that anyone can use Nokia Lumia 920 with gloves on because of its super sensitive touch. Although I had no problem what so ever with the touch screen but the bar is getting higher and higher, but introduction of such super sensitive touch screen in iPhone 5 may have done wonders.
  8. Analytical Siri: – Siri didn’t get improved contextual responsiveness. So even it has all your information it will still need your response, Unlike Google, it can not predict.
  9. New iOS 6 features: In iOS6 were no widgets, no notifications which were actionable; no new features were shown off except from the panorama shooting mode.
  10. New iCloud features: Eventhough the Notes & Reminders features are making their way to iPhone 5 but iCloud didn’t any significant updates.

Is there any more feature we missed out and you were expecting it to be there? then feel free to drop in your comments and views in the comment box below. You might also be interested in reading about:-
