Yes, you are reading it right “iPad mini has in-built stereo speakers”. However Apple forgot to announce this major change during the iPad mini event that was held on 23rd October 2012. I do really feel that I might had done something better or atleast an added advantage if they announced this face (about stereo speakers) in the keynote or intro video itself.
